im new to paintballing but i can tell you thing thing is one of the best guns out there. mask, tank and hoppeer are good you can get the egrip trigger thingy but i find single shot the best. so yeah the gun can take a bashing(but dont go out and do that lol:)) i had no ball break out of the barrol with an easy 500 shot. so if your looking for a good starting paintball gun this is one of the best out there. :)

The Marker:
I've been using the Tippman US Army Alpha Black for about a full month now. and i must say its pretty great. Accuracy is, well, accurate. with the 10" barrel the balls go where you want it to go with now problem. over 60yds and you start to see the paintballs veer off. I'm planning to upgrade the barrel to a 12 or 14" but nothing longer than that. I have much success playing against speedballers(veterans and rookies) and in woods play the only downfall is that you have to wait for a certain distance to get successful frags, thus, the acquisition of a longer barrel. Dont get me wrong you can tag an opponent from long range but by the time u let off a well aimed shot, you'll need to hide from all the hail of painballs comin at you :-) . Which leads me to the next thing, I ordered Alpha Black that does not have the e-trigger. Although, this suits me fine, with that guys that i play with and against, it would be more useful for me to have the capabilities of 3-shot burst. But one things for sure, I do not get any chops, like the rest of the guys with their cyclone feeders and full-auto e-triggers. Its funny to see them complain. lol. I also like this marker cause it has a kick to it with every shot. I mean its nothing big, but enough. My fellow mates who test it out after using their markers always say "dang, yours has a lil' kick to it" :-D. Here's a plus or minus depending on your thoughts, the marker is louder than some other markers, e.g. (custom 98C, A-5, proto, spyder MKII) in woods play that could be a problem or an intimidation factor. 4lbs, so the marker does have some weight and i've recently purchased a remote to reduce that weight.

pluses - durable, easy maintenance(took it apart and back together with no problems. barrels use custom 98C threads, so upgrades are easy to get, accurate.

minuses - short barrel, a lil heavy(sling helps to hold weapon so u dont have to carry in hand), loud

The Mask:
The mask works well. I have had no problems with fogging up, while some of my other fellows, complain they cant see anything in their masks. Again i smile :-D. (losers, lol) its a tad big, so i cant line up he sights unless i cock my to the side over the stock. However, if you play without the stock, then there's nothing to worry about. I have to cut the nose padding to shape it more like a u rather than a v. no i can breath better and feel less pinching on my nose. the padding is made of foam. Apparently, while browsing, i notice that this mask also has additional accesories to make the mask a full helmet. I dont know if you can buy these parts seperate tho.

Hopper:
This hopper is pretty good, nothing extraordinary, but it does have a "dual-feed" spout inside. The paintballs feedinto the spout from 2 openings in the hopper. there is also an angled bridge over that spout which allows the paintballs roll to either ends of the spout openings. works pretty well. Next-time, i'll have one of my fellow friends use it with their e-triggers to see how it works out.

Gloves:
hmmm, they work. plastic padding helps to protect against those painful shots to your fingers. they only thing, the die on these things comes off easy and on your hands. I've washed em and that has seemed to help.

Tank:
it's a 20oz and well, it does what its suppose to, supply air. Best when used with a remote and get the one with a quick-disconnect and on/off switch.

and i'm done!
