It works with an optical sensor, aka EYE. Its feed system is by replacement. The eye reads the feed neck, if there is no ball it feeds till it senses a quiet ball inside the feed neck, meaning that the gun stopped shooting. Shoot and it will feed again. The rip drive is a cool feature. Buy it if you can. I prefer this loader over an empire reloader. Also both of them have the same shell but this method works better for me.
