Invert Mini shooting in my basement on semi with ReBalls, Invert Halo Too, and 50ci 4500 psi Pure Energy Carbon Fibre HPA Tank. Many of us who have been in paintball a while can remember a time when the packs we wore were a truly custom thing. Red, blue or black, five, seven or three down with two right or two left with Velcro and clips and suspenders and barrel plug pouches and you bought them from a woman named Rose or a man named Greg. Better still, they’d last event after event, season after season, year after year. None of this is meant to say that the packs offered today aren’t great products because many of them are, but a custom-designed pack built by an American, in America, is a great thing to wear to play paintball and we’ve found one!

The California Legislature is attempting to pass SB Bill 798 which calls for imitation firearms, a classification which would include paintball markers, to be brightly colored (i.e., orange) in order to distinguish them from real firearms. This is a serious concern to the paintball industry which could require all paintball markers in speedball and scenario play to be painted a bright color.

It’s a fact of life that not every paintball a player fires will fly straight. We’ve all seen paintballs that hook, spin or curve in the air and wished we could make that happen when we needed it, to make a critical elimination, but then go back to shooting straight. We’ve all wished we could shoot just a few feet further at times too, as no matter how high we seem to point our markers into the air, our paint still rolls up to the feet of the guy we can see way over there, not behind anything, shooting half our team on the other side of the field.
