The latest from the “have you heard about this?” file comes from one of the original influential players, personalities, promoters and fieldowners in the game, Jerry Braun. He, along with Kevin Donaldson of the Master Blasters, have conceived of a new ten-man woodsball league, building on the Woodsball World Cup concept. Mechanical markers are to be used along with gravity-feed loaders, with “old school” ten-man rules in-effect. While no concrete details are yet available, Braun has stated publicly that events will be held in the Northeast, Midwest, West Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The 2011 Woodsball World Cup will be held at Paintball Sports in New York in September.
