Headbangers Scenario team have announced several new sponsors as they head into the 2011 season. First came word that the team would wear tactical and loadbearing gear from TheVestGuy.com. This was followed quickly by an announcement that the team would shoot Pinokio Hoppers, after the team reached an agreement with Jennifer Chapman, Director of Sales and Marketing at Pinokio. KEE Action Sports, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, has announced a recall of the BT SA-17 pistol. The recall is due to a chance that, while inserting a CO2 cartridge into the pistol, the cartridge may fly out and potentially cause injury to the user or others nearby. No such injuries have been reported. KEE recommends that owners of BT SA-17 pistols should immediately stop using them and contact the company for either a repair or repair parts and instructions. The 2011 Paintball season is about to begin. This year the NPPL will be celebrating its 18th year hosting tournaments, and 2011 is shaping up to be one of the best years yet. The NPPL Board of Directors recently held its annual meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada where they appointed a President and created a new internal team of professionals who will operate the League with the intention of running the most successful tournament series in the world.

When I got into the car to drive six hours to visit family for the holidays on December 21, 2010, I had no idea what I’d be getting into when I checked my email when I arrived. I discovered, while I was in the car for six hours, that NXe and Tippmann had issued a press release announcing that Tippmann, one of the best-known and most respected names in paintball, had purchased the long-standing, widely-respected pack and soft goods manufacturer! After reading the press release and being floored by it, I was privileged to be able to spend some time with NXe’s John Bosch and his son Ryan to learn what led to the purchase, what motivated them to sell their paintball brand and where the people behind NXe will go from here.
