    1. I wasn’t holding high expectations for this gun before i got it but man this baby meets those expectations and more. the main body is all die cast aluminum including the barrel but the stock and clip are not. The handle is a nice comfortable rubber grip and the clip is a detachable tool holder for your “included” allen wrenches used to take apart and assemble the gun. the stock while sturdy, adjustable, and collapsible is plastic and wobbles a little bit when in use. Despite that so far is my only complaint. It also comes with its own barrel cleaner and pneumatic oil. it feels comfortable to hold but id recommend a foregrip for some more personal enjoyment. the sights are hard to see down with a paintball mask (of course not gonna ding a star away for that). Id recommend an addable rail as well and if your into longer ranges a different barrel. But for this package it is great quality and i found large amounts of enjoyment with it so far and i do recommend for scenario players or even for wood balling.

On a different note and in more detail its around four pounds without added co2 bottles so no problem there. The rail and front barrel are on pretty tight no wobbling what so ever. Its velocity is adjustable and can easily be chronograph ed for your field rules if your into professional paintballing. Easily outdoes its alpha black predecessor in performance looks and reliability. Stocks not gonna last forever so go look for something else early on if your a stock person other than that its easy to remove or collapse. Plastic clip/tool case feels flimsy when messing with but is pretty sturdy material. Hardly any amount of kick but barely noticeable and not even noticeable if you’ve paintballed before (i like the feel of recoil). Resembles the ar15 well especially with the sturdy shroud. The rails are easy to attach upgrades (sights, lights, foregrips) to. The hopper connector is right off to the side allowing for the ability to add sights scopes to. Go for a low profile hopper for better looks. Performance is well and easily outdoes its predecessor as said before. Got a good 150 yards with the current barrel but if you want serious accuracy go for the sniper kit or buy a new barrel. it has a nicely located cocking hammer for more added realism and feels great. Doesn’t sound loud either helps muffle the sound. This could easily be a customizable gun for your chosen play style.

      Strengths:

1.Performance top notch (outdoes its well related predecessor)

      2.Looks, feels good

      3.Realistic with good light weight

      4.Easily customizable with sturdy shroud

5.Collapsible adjustable stock (especially handy with face masks)

      6.Toolkit/clip is a nice bonus

7.Adjustable velocity and easily be checked with a chronograph

      Weaknesses:

1.Haven’t spent enough time with it to determine its problems outside the plastic stock and how it might not last as long as its needed

    2. This gun is great for woodsball. It is heavy, and only has a single trigger, which causes some gross disadvantages for speedball or airball. It is very accurate and quiet. I found it to be very efficient on gas use also. I shot about 1500 rounds on a regular 20 oz CO2 tank. I never chopped a ball or had a single malfunction. You don’t really have to worry about outfiring the gun, because with the single trigger and heavy trigger pull, rate of fire is fairly slow. I don’t know what would happen with an e-trigger and cyclone feeding system, which will fit right onto the marker. Oh yeah, the picatinny rail is really cool and looks snazzy, but without the sight rail of a regular M-16, there is no way someone with a mask could look through the objective of a scope mounted on the rail without the butt folded in. Even the stock sights are unuseable with the butt folded out.

    3. My first impression of the Project Salvo Marker is that Tippmann again has another great marker. While this marker is similar to some of Tippmann’s other markers, there are some new, important and player appreciated features. One of my favorite features is the ability to easily attach a sling to the front and rear of the marker. Project Salvo has many picatinny rails which allows players to further upgrade their markers to met their MilSim or specialty needs. Also, the marker’s grip is very comfortable. Another unmentioned but pleasant feature that this marker has, is the ability to see if the gun is cocked, ready to be fired. With a quick glance a player can quickly and easily look at the small exposed area behind the cocking pin and see if the spring is cocked. All too often I have forgotten to have my marker cocked at the start of a game only to find out after I have pulled the trigger and not fired. I then have to scramble to cock the marker while wasting valuable play time and missing shot opportunities while the other players are running around and exposed. For players to have this quick check ability, this may give a player thean edge at the start of each game. The tool kit magazine now fits snuggly into the marker and does not seem as flimsy a previous versions. The collapsible and folding stock allows for in game, situation by situation, position adjustment to fill any need. The stock can be fully extended, for longer, well placed shots or with a few quick movements, collapsed and folded for to give the player greater mobility and a smaller profile allowing the player greater speed and the option to squeeze into tight spaces.

Although this marker has a “Made in China” sticker, my impression of the marker is that it is made with the same quality and toughness Tippmann has built their reputation on. The receivers are made from an all aluminum die cast, still uses the stainless steel gas line (wont rust or break), uses their proven high performance In-line bolt system, and uses the quick release feeder elbow. The quick release feeder elbow is a nice feature which makes cleaning out any paint breaks very quick and easily. With a barrel squeegee, this task can be done on the field and during play.

The U.S. Army line of Tippmann markers is a great way for new and not-so new players to get a hold of a cosmetically upgraded marker at a low, great price. I can recall spending a great deal of money upgrading my earlier Tippmann markers to have many of the features that come included with this marker right out of the box, ei… the functional tool kit magazine clip, the picatinny rails, the foldable, collapsible stock, carry handles and many more.

This marker is definitely a great buy for new players and players into MilSim. With all the great features and the proven reliability of Tippmann, go out and buy one to add to your collection.

    4. This is by far one of the best paintball guns that I have had the pleasure of using. Straight out of the box it is extremely accurate and feels well in your hands. It is very solid and can take a beating.

      Great gun all around.

    5. This paintball gun is probably one of the best i have ever used. It has a very sturdy feel, and it looks very cool. I really like the picatinny/weaver rails that are on it. It is capable of many great upgrades, some of which i have installed. The gun is cyclone feeder ready and e-trigger/response trigger ready. This gun is a very good gun and very upgradeable. I recommend this to anybody who wants to do milsim stuff with a gun that looks like an actual military rifle.
